The results are in from the Spring Training poll I posted for this past weekend.

And the winner is…

Creating profitable membership sites with WordPress and Digital Access Pass

Here is the complete poll result:

I took the total numbers of “Definitely” and gave that vote 3 points. The “Probably” votes get 1 vote. So numerically…

Discover DAP got 371 points

Unstoppable Blogging 2 got 276 points

Teleseminar Formula 4 got 162 points

As you can see, business blogging was a close second. However, in order to teach Discover DAP, there will be a fair amount of WordPress and blogging included to make your membership site look good and be profitable.

What Happens Now?

On Wednesday, March 17, I’ll send an invitation to my existing subscribers, customers, and clients to a free preview call with Ravi Jayagopal. We’ll dive into why DAP fills the needs of savvy membership site owners better than any other script on the market, and what’s coming soon in the next update of DAP.

Those that attend the call will then receive a special invite to the Discover DAP course.

Over the next 48 hours, I’ll be designing the curriculum for the course. It’s going to start early next week, and we’ll meet 5-7 times through live webinars before April 15.

Your next steps…

What you can do right now is post a comment below about what you’d like to see taught in the course. What is your biggest question about creating a profitable membership site?

Also, the course will not be free; so you can suggest what would be a fair investment you’d be willing to make for a 2-3 week live virtual workshop that gives you the roadmap toward a profitable membership site.

If you have never created a membership site, the initial target for your site would be to earn $10,000 within the first 9 months through recurring or one-time revenue. If you’re more experienced, and you already have content, then the target would be to earn $2000/month or more within the first 6 months of your site. (Your results will vary of course)

I’m looking forward to teaching the Digital Access Pass software and membership site strategies to you!

Bob Jenkins

p.s. Remember, I’ll be sending the invitations to be part of the free preview call for Discover DAP to subscribers. You can sign up for my primary internet marketing training email list through the blue form you see on this page.

p.p.s. You’ll see a list of links below that point to the previous articles I’ve written about creating membership sites with WordPress and why I chose Digital Access Pass over Wishlist.

So I’m patiently waiting for my SIMPLE home study course to be completed based on the live event I held 2 weeks ago. Over the next 6 weeks, the audio, video, transcripts, and bonus 30 day implementation program will be compiled and ready for release. I’m shooting for my birthday (April 26) for the program to be available.

To tell you the truth, I’m very excited about it, but it’s a daunting task bringing all the pieces together!

In the meantime, I’d like to teach a virtual workshop to help you with your business even before the SIMPLE home study course is ready. I’ve narrowed down the areas I would personally enjoy teaching this time of year to 3, and I need your help to pick which one to actually do.

So please take a quick moment to rank these 3 potential virtual workshops as it would fit what you need right now.

What’s a Virtual Workshop?

For me, a virtual workshop is a course that gives you core training on a specific topic in a live setting. But instead of you meeting me in a hotel conference room in Wilmington (or anywhere else for that matter), we do it on the phone or through a webinar.

I like to hold my virtual workshops over the course of 2-3 weeks, usually meeting 2-3 times per week.

The way I teach them, virtual workshops give you plenty of opportunities to interact with the other members of the course, and ask questions during the sessions. This way, you get to implement what you learn while you’re going through the program.

So if you haven’t already, let me know how interested you would be in taking a course with me in late March, early April on the topics above. Make sure that you give a ranking for each one so I have the best numbers to go by.

More About The Courses

Choice 1: Membership Sites With WordPress And Digital Access Pass

One of the most popular side topics at SIMPLE was how you can use DAP and WordPress to create a membership site. Done correctly, membership sites can provide you with a steady recurring revenue stream, and DAP is my preferred platform to use. It’s powering IM Success Library, and I have a few more sites in the queue to create during the next 12 months.

This course would show you how to work with the software, get it installed, and do the basics of making your site look decent using WordPress themes. It would also provide you with strategies for creating the content, marketing your membership site, and working with DAP as an affiliate management system.

Although I will not be teaching about Wishlist, there will be a lot of membership site strategies that I will touch on that would apply to that system as well.

Choice 2: Teleseminar Formula 4

Having done 3 versions of Teleseminar Formula, I was hesitant to do it a fourth time at this point. But since Instant Teleseminar/Welcome To The Call recently went through another round of changes, the time to do TF4 is sooner rather than later. Also, teleseminars continue to be my favorite methodology for generating revenue and creating information products, and I’m passionate about helping you learn how to use this marketing channel for yourself.

By the end of the virtual workshop, you will have created your own teleseminar, and learned how to leverage it into multiple forms of monetized content.

Choice 3: Unstoppable Blogging 2

I originally created Unstoppable Blogging to showcase the power of Quansite (formerly Blogi360) as a blogging platform, as well as provide strategies for effective blogging for business. Since UB came out, Quansite has gone through substantial changes and improvements.

More importantly, many of my subscribers who are not using Quansite did not take the course thinking that it didn’t apply to blogging on WordPress or other platforms.

So Unstoppable Blogging 2 would be a WordPress based training program to show how to set up and power your blog, with a bonus training on using Quansite. By the end of the program, you’d have your own blog and the strategies to make it your hub of your internet marketing activity.

Help Me Choose Which Course I Should Teach First

Over the next year, it’s likely I’ll teach each of these courses. But I can only teach one of them this spring.

Beyond the SIMPLE home study program, I’m also planning the “Class Reunion” event in late June in Florida, and SIMPLE 2 in the Fall. I’ll be speaking in Philadelphia in May, on a social media cruise to the Caribbean in August, and NAMS 4 in August.

So I’ll likely not be able to teach the second or third courses until July or September.

Which one should I teach first? Rank the 3 above, and post a comment below letting me know any specific elements of the training you’d like to see me include on your favorite option.

Bob Jenkins

p.s. Virtual workshops are not free, but I think you’ll be very excited to see what kind of a special pricing I’ll have for those that join first. My plan is to have the selection picked by March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day), and start the training a week later.

p.p.s. Chris Morris and I are also working on Discover cPanel 2 for release this spring, FYI.

Last year’s Twestival was a lot of fun – a great opportunity to get Twitter friends together IRL (in real life), and go beyond the avatars. This year should be even better, and with a venue like the River Room overlooking the Cape Fear you can’t go wrong.

A popular speaker at Internet marketing conferences around the US, Jenkins’ School for Information Marketing Profits – Live Event, or SIMPLE (http://www.SIMPLE10K.com), is designed for service professionals and independent business owners.

According to Jenkins, the decision to hold the event in his hometown was an easy one. “Our local area is often overlooked as an exciting and viable event location,” he says. “I wanted to show business professionals and event planners that Wilmington has excellent business opportunities in a beautiful location.”

SIMPLE will be held at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside.

In addition to Jenkins, the three-day conference features training sessions by Adam Urbanski, Felicia Slattery, Jacqueline Wales, and Lon Naylor.

The SIMPLE training program is presented in a three-phase system for building a profitable online business based on the knowledge and experience of an entrepreneur.

How to make money as a credible affiliate

How to make money as a product creator and solution provider

How to make money with your own affiliate program

The three-day event is $1897, with a bonus guest ticket. Seating is limited and registration needs to be made in advance at http://www.SIMPLE10K.com

We’re just a few days away from SIMPLE – the School for Information Marketing Profits – Live Event. I know it’s a weird title, but I’m a weird teacher.

In any case, if you’re coming to Wilmington next week, I thought it would be cool for you to share your excitement with the others reading this. And also get a chance to let those that will be here have an idea of what you’re about, what you’re looking for at the event, etc.

So please post a comment below and answer as much of these questions as you’d like to:

Your name, where you are traveling from, your primary website, and Twitter ID if you have one

What has been your favorite training course or learning result from working with me in the past?

What are your primary goals while you’re at SIMPLE?

If this is your first event, what are you nervous about?

Anything else you’d like others to know before they meet you in person?

Of course, when you’re here, you’ll have a nametag and plenty of time to get to know each other. And since the event is designed to be small (about 60 people total), you won’t feel lost in a huge crowd.

See you in a few days!

Bob Jenkins

p.s. If you’re not on the list yet, you may still be able to get one of those last tickets. See if any are left at SIMPLE10K.com.

If you’re like most entrepreneurs, you likely spend as much if not more time with your business as you do with your actual Valentine.

The question to ask yourself is with all the love and devotion you give to your business, is it returning the feelings back? Or is does it seem like a one-way street?

How can you improve that relationship?

Well, for one thing, you can’t go cheating on your business.

If you’re committed to your “soul mate” business, the one that fuels you and gets you all excited at all hours of the day (and night), you’re more likely to see that love return to you.

But if don’t have faith in it, and start wandering to little pet businesses on the side, you’re destined to get caught sooner or later.

I know too many people (and I used to be one myself) who are flirting with too many other opportunities, and it’s biting them on the butt!

Some like to say they simply have entrepreneurial ADD (attention deficit disorder). It’s more like entrepreneurial TWD (Tiger Woods Disorder – sorry, I couldn’t resist!).

There’s plenty of variety and “spice of life” features of your true business love.

And yes, you may not find the perfect biz-mate until you’ve gone through a couple of roller coaster relationships (and some even bitter divorces).

But you’ve got to stay committed long enough to find the right one!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Feel free to share a business love (or break-up) story below

Bob Jenkins

p.s. If your business is not making you feel excited about what you do every day, and you want to reignite that passion, join me at SIMPLE at the end of the month! (I couldn’t resist reminding you!). You AND your true life partner/spouse get to enjoy the weekend together.

My favorite domestic movie of all time is Better Off Dead. My brother and I can pretty much quote the entire film from start to finish.

At the core of the film is high school student Lane Meyer trying to win back his girlfriend who dumped him for the captain of the ski team. The race is down the steepest slopes of the K-12, a treacherous slope “in the state of Northern California”.

Not included in the film was this clip, which has recently surfaced from the master reels. I never knew that THIS was the real reason why my brother loves the film so much.
